Recap of outdoor season I had posted this earlier and some how it got erased.  So here goes Mike is now currently the school record holder in the hammer and took 10th at Nationals last year.  Ben is now the current school record holder in the discus with Mike second.  Ben had two PNQ one for discus the other in shot-put.  Great end to the season and to an outdoor career for Bryant.  He was and always has been a competitor for us.  He scored pts. for us in the hammer and discus which he was not expected to do.  SO that was awesome.  He still has an indoor eligibility left so we will see how that goes for him.  Our signing class has turned out to be another great one Highlighted by Ryan MacDonald , and Lindsey Wells. 

I Had an awesome time at Ironwood as a coach this time as oppose to an athlete, entirely different experience.  It was great to make those connections with other coaches, but also with the kids.  Most common question were as followed. ."Wait Western has a Track and Field team, how long have you guys had that?"  Hopefully I changed the minds of those that had asked that question.

Indoor is now here and already Mike has broken Ben's Weight record twice in fact (54 then at 58).  Lindsey set the Women's Wt record at 44 ft.  Not bad for someone who has never thrown the weight before.  Our Sophomore class is doing a great job.  Tyler had a huge PR at the First UW meet throwing the WT. 47 ft. which has currently knocked ours truly out of the top 5.  All I have to say to that is YESSS!!!! I am glad because that is a sign that we are moving in the right direction and that my style of coaching works.
